Wasn't the preseason freshman of the year for the AAC on our roster?

Are you asking that question again for the people new to the board? Or did you get the answer when you posted the question a few days and forgot?......

SK should have gotten POY and it shouldn't have been close. He was simply amazing pretty much the whole year. Napier tended to disappear in big games (see SMU). While I think that Coach Brown should have gotten COY, it is hard to argue about Cronin getting it.

Disagree about Cronin. He had a very good team to start with and just continued with a good level of success. OTH- LB had to do a really great coaching job to get these players to the level that they played at as well as building team chemistry. IIRC cincy was picked to finish way higher than SMU in the preseason polls..

I really hope LB takes this slight as a personal insult and figures out a way to smash and embarrass the other teams in this tourney.

I think Napier came in with a big rep - and got outplayed by both Smith and Kirlpatrick. Maybe I think that because we swept UConn, but Smith is outrageously good and Kirlpatrick if left alone will slay you. Napier seems to go away from time to time, but he does have a cool name. I think from here on out i am going to start going by Shabazz

Cincinnati was picked to finish 4th and finished 1st, SMU was picked to finish 6th (one point from 5th) and finished 3rd. Most outlets had SMU as an NIT team and with just 4 top 100 wins in the regular season, SMU has to be close to the bubble.
