Not really. Read it again "Myles Turner is closing in on a decision to sign with the SMU basketball program". If he picks Okie State, they can argue that he did close in on his decision to sign with SMU...and the decision was to play elsewhere.

True but it claims he's close to picking SMU. If he doesn't pick SMU I guess FSSW can claim that he changed his mind but it still kind of looks bad on their end, IMO.

If he is closing on a decision, that means the decision has not been made. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

I would still be shocked if he comes here. I mean absolutely shocked. Mudiay makes sense with his brother being here and not having alot of Guard depth besides Nic. He can be a star. We have so much depth at forward that turner wouldn't be the guy and wouldn't get alot of minutes. He's made it clear he's a one and done ad he could go to ok state, Texas, and be the guy and star. He has developed great relationships with them already.

Myles doesn't play forward. He's a true center and Yanick is the only true center on our roster.

Have you seen him play? I've caught him live in-person and the guy I saw was a PF that could stretch the defense out. Had a nice mid-range game and very well developed around the rim. Just my two cents, he's got versatility that is rare in a guy of his size.

I think he may have tweeted it and now is backing down on his tweet by saying he is close to a decision for SMU imo.

A couple of times. When I saw him he looked much more comfortable around the rim. No doubt he has a great shot for a guy his size. I don't know if he has the foot speed to guard a forward although his length can make up for that.
