Did AAC Have Anyone on Selection Committee

Postby Stallion » Sun Mar 16, 2014 6:01 pm

if so who. No sign of respect for AAC. Was there some horse trading between conference representatives to knock us out?

Hard to complain this year since we are a new conference - but it is definitely something that needs to change pronto.

This is the right question. I asked it two months ago. Unfortunate that the Big East/AAC split means the answer was "no."

I'm wondering with such a late conference split whether that left the AAC without anyone on the committee

Louisville's AD who promptly voted for NCSU-I presume?

Im sorry I misread it ACC did have someone apparently on the committee. I can't seem to find the members on the internet which you think would be easy to find.

I'm borrowing couch'em response in another thread to answer question posed by this thread-beginning to make more sense why Louisville is 4 seed, first team out is SMU, and 3 AAC teams in one bracket-AAC got screwed

Committee Members:LSU (and former Duke) AD Joe Alleva,Utah State AD Scott Barnes,Oklahoma AD Joe Castiglione,Big Sky Conference commissioner Doug Fullerton,Michigan State AD Mark Hollis,Conference USA associate commissioner Judy MacLeod, Delaware AD Bernard MuirWest Coast Conference commissioner Jamie Zaninovich.Wake Forest AD Ron Wellman - ChairmanGeorgia Tech athletic director Mike BobinskiTwo Acc members, including the chairman. Nobody from the AAC. I'm sure the CUSA chairman is not a fan of SMU or Memphis.

An old fashioned lynching. There is just no way we have to be THAT team. But the composition of the committee tells the story. Completely explains why NC State, Nebraska and Tennessee are in. And as for the three AAC teams being in one bracket? C'mon man. Ludicrous.
