According to the radio announcers it did go out at the two but a call for instant replay was never made.

what I can't believe is that the linesman right under the ball marked it at the 1 and was overruled by a guy half way across the field. What's up with that?

Ball came down right in front of me. Hit OB definitely before the pylon. Official immediately marked it out at the 1. Next thing I knew it was on the 20.

Don't even get me started on the phantom Pass Interference call on 3rd and 9 during the last TD drive by SMU....
No, I'm not saying that is why we lost but it didn't help our cause. The refs in general seemed somewhat clueless...why did they review the fumble on the option pitch??? It was clearly a lateral and we were sitting in the end zone behind the play???

The fumble was heading OB and whoever recovered it made a very good play by reaching out and scooping it in. I believe the question was whether or not it had hit the sideline before recovery. As far as bad calls go, I think they were pretty even, but would it not be nice to have a game where people were not having to gripe about bad calls? After all these guys are supposed to be trained at what they do.
Oh, and by the way... THAT WAS PASS INTERFERENCE YOU CRY BABY!!!!!!!

I was wondering the same thing.
In the Texas vs Ohio State game, the officials were Big 12 Officials. Friend told me the away teams gets to pick the away officials (in non-conference games)

We sure can't whine about the MWC officials. Beats anything the WAC ever offered. The officials didn't cause the game to be lost or won. Over all, it appeared to be a well called game. Now, up here in Razorback land, we have about a fifth of a page in the sport section of the paper devoted to the 'bad' calls that once again cost the Razorbacks a glorious victory. And nothing about SMU.

But realize Ponyte not only is it SMU but if its after 10:00PM in Arkansas it does not make the paper. That is unless it is an Arkansas Razorback game. Our news guys need their sleep I guess.

At Least the Arkansas Demo-Zette published the score on the front of the sports page..but that was all. Maybe there will be some slight coverage in the Monday paper since the game went so late..but I doubt it.

Maybe we could be put in a section that is titled "teams with the same record as Arkansas." That would make the Razorback fans send Nutt out tarred and feathered.
