Pure Committee Politics

cannot be denied. Plain as day. Lunardi had us safely in because he is unbiased. Never saw this one coming but it is obvious now.

nah…they all kiss up to each other since they never know when they will need a reference or get some better job. there will be no WTF calls. Just expressions of disappointment while we get shafted again.

I would not call Lunardi unbiased, yes he is not aligned to a conference, but he is aligned with his ego. He called us a lock after the UCONN game and did not see us ending the season losing three in a row. When we did, his ego would not let him undo a previous lock. He even stated as much in last weeks bracketology. He knew we were in trouble, but refused to remove the "lock" he gave us cuz it would make him look weak.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

G.S. Nicol ‏@MisterNickel 6m

The fact that SMU didn't make the tournament makes all polls from here on out invalid.

obvious lack of respect if not outright disdain for the AAC. Bad enough to have Louisville as a #4, but then to put the rest of the AAC in the same bracket? They want us out as early as possible. Let's just keep in mind that respect has to be earned. Hope we can make a deep run or even win the NIT and the rest of the AAC does well. Lay eggs and we can expect more of the same next year

The vast majority of projections had SMU in. I do not get the obsession with lunardi.

This. There's been a lot of excitement -- and for good reason -- around the SMU boards this year. I knew full well that the polls didn't mean donkey [deleted]. What I (and many many other) couldn't have counted on is the clear bias against the AAC. SMU will need to schedule up next year or expect more of the same (or worse).

That said, the extra games could be good. You don't ever want to assume you'll win more than the next game, but SMU has the chance to get some added time.

Expectations will be sky high next year! Let's do this.

Ron Wellman should resign and build houses. He laid a bunch of brickes today. Maybe he can get into the construction business and can lay some bricks where it will so some good. i am rooting for Lousiville, a number 4 seed? give me a break.

Earn it? by what winning it all? Lousville did it last year, with lots of returning players. Uconn won it three years ago with Napier as a freshman. Still, no league respect. really, thats a joke. Leagues are not measured by their bottom feeders, every league has some garbage, and Houston is better than they get credit for too.
