RPI takes into account your opponents W/L record, not necessarily who you beat. SMU beat some really good teams and played a number one seed until the final possession. I'm not sure what more you can ask from a team.

Guys, the RPI and SOS is like the bible to the NCAA selection committee.

I do not know why BYU was 21 spots better in the RPI and about 100+ better in SOS...but that is what they look at.

Someone figure out how we can improve that, then we are in business.

Numbers talk, [deleted] walks.....33 RPI versus 54 RPI.

No Brainer for a bunch of suits looking to shut out SMU anyway.

Should a team with 22 wins, 33 RPI, and 17 SOS be left out to our same stats.

I really do not know. But they must have done something to have an RPI 21 spots better than us. And they played the 17th hardest schedule in the nation.

BYU was on the lower end of the bubble and then lost one of their top players to injury. BYU will not be competitive. This one is glaring and hard to stomach. This choice is confounding.
