I wish instead of four single games, we could just avoid playing USF and Tulane in general
Beating them by 30 makes our RPI fall.

Regardless of ranking, I think we should play Coog High twice each year.
Same goes for UCF & USF, Wichita & Tulsa, Temple & UConn, among others.

To continue that thought why not set up twice a year "rivalry" games for each team: SMU-UH. Tulsa-Wichita, Memphis-Tulane and Cincy-UConn, Temple-ECU, UCF-USF, no matter the rankings. Then go from there.

I haven't looked up the all-time record, but Tulane views Memphis as their historical "rival" in basketball. I doubt the feelings are returned, but that's how they view it.

Forced "rivalry" games are not a good idea in my opinion, but Memphis vs Cincy make a lot more sense than Memphis vs Tulane.

Travel costs also have to be a consideration for both Men & Women.

Ha! Memphis leads 50-10 all-time vs. Tulane in hoops. I understand why Memphis wouldn't view it as a rivalry.

Yeah I see these more as travel partners like there is in soccer and volleyball instead of rivalries.
Of course, geographically they would be more likely to be rivalries like USF-UCF, etc.

Nobody associated with Memphis sees Tulane as a "rival".

Yeah,,, but Tulane seemingly getting better and Memphis falling. Anyway that's why "rivalry" is in quotes. Hope all our so-called Historical Teams get better quickly, listening UConn, Temple, Memphis? And ECU, USF...OMG.

Wichita State has scheduled a series for next season with Baylor (RPI 11), Oklahoma State (RPI 39) and Oklahoma (RPI 169).
Still eagerly waiting for SMU schedule news to trickle out.

Including cincy that's likely 10 top 50 RPI games.
