LOL true...but I know which side we'll both be on in the near future.
You'll come around....I doubt "the other one" will ever experience much joy.

He was 30th in the nation in total passing yards last year with a 124.4 QB rating....that is hardly a debacle.
Our defense was next to last in yards allowed...480 yards per game....THAT is a debacle.
The amount of interceptions BLM threw last year was a debacle....................
My point. Someone ought to look at a ratio versus his picks.

All their QBs redshirt-All of them and they collectively have about 10+ straight QBs going through their system who turned out to be outstanding once given the chance.
Did Colt McCoy redshirt? What about Sam Bradford or Matthew Stafford?

McCoy redshirted, so did Vince Young and Sam Bradford. Stafford was pushed into playing due to weakness in the position at Georgia.
Check your facts before trying to be smug.

and yet they somehow learned sitting on the bench which apparently can't be done.

There is no doubt that they can learn sitting on the bench........the simple fact is that Justin was not the type of QB to play in the run-n-shoot offense and he got beat out by a freshman. He certainly wasn't one of the top 4 WR's on the team and with Darius Johnson in the mix, he wasn't even probably in the top 5.

Re: Willis quit
The thing that's getting lost in all of this argument about whether or not Willis should have played QB last year is that he was suspended in the spring. He re-joined the team late and did not have an equal amount of time to learn the playbook. If you think the playbook looked limited with BLM back there last year, think about how it would have been if Willis were back there. We would have had 4 plays.

Accept, if I remember my history correctly, I remember something -- probably a story writen on PonyFans -- about Willis memorizing the playbook, sitting in coaches' offices watching film, etc. So even if he wasn't on the field, he had the JJ playbook (theoretically) months before BLM.

Re: Willis quit
Opinion: I am sorry that Willis quit and wish him the best.
Opinion: I wish that BLM had redshirted but understand completely Jones's wish to use his guy in his system immediately.
Fact: BLM had 24 TD's and 23 int's 2008
Fact: If you exclude the lower division team we played in which he had 5 td's and o int's which should be expected playing a lesser team, and breakdown his td's and int's by first half of the year and last half you have:
1st half: 8 td's and 15 int's
2nd half: 11 td's and 8 int's
I believe that shows definite improvement for the year as he learned the system and considering another spring and summer of practice, considerable improvement should be expected ( or at least hoped for jtstang) this year.
