I visited my folks in Virginia this weekend. Before I left this morning, my dad called my attention to the AP story on Doherty's hiring in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, accompanied by a fairly large and prominently placed photo of Doherty. Dad's comment: "You know, that's probably just as big a news up here as it is down there." No mention in the Lynchburg paper, but then again the Lynchburg paper sucks.
