Temple...losing 20 in a row at one point
Rutgers
Florida International

Please do not mention Temple in the same breath as SMU.

Temple - 7 NIT appearances and 12 NCAA appearances in the past 19 years.

Ask Duke Blue Blood how important FB is to a Dukie

well, son-of-a-gun, i'm convinced. that said, i think this place is pretty calm considering we are all supporters of the most horrible div. one athletic program in the nation. i shall tell my grandchildren that i survived as a fan during an unprecedented time of sports tribulation...

No JT...you are the idiot if you think Temple has a worse program than ours....over the past 19 years...the past 5 years... the past 'fill in the blank any number between 1 and 19' years.

And talk about reading posts...the point is we are the worst PROGRAM...

PROGRAM = FB + BB

if you look at BB and FB, then sure we are one of the worse...but you could do all the "convincing in the world", im still not going to believe we are the worst program in the country

OH, and for those past 19 years...see ill bring it up and some will say it has nothing to do with it since it happend so long ago but WE ARE THE ONLY F'n PROGRAM TO GET HIT WITH THE DEATH PENALTY...

so maybe thats why we are pretty lousy

PROGRAM.....that is what I am talking about...

So for the PAST FIVE YEARS, are we the worst program in the country???

JT, I will take it a step farther...

We are debating whether or not SMU is better or worse than the Idaho's / Western Kentucky's / Utah State's / Florida International's of the world.

Given our location, alumni base, history, reputation (academic and otherwise) we might honestly be witnessing the most pathetic 20-year run in all of Sports history.

Craig James said it best...SMU should DOMINATE the non-BCS world.

JT, you are being the jack-*ss tonight. I am simply throwing out statistics.

Statistics can be mis-leading...I understand that...but over a long enough period of time...they can be extremely illuminating.

BTW...Sagarin Rankings as of November 18, 2007

SMU Ranked #171 in Football

SMU Ranked # 332 in Basketball
