Worst D-1 Program..
We ARE the worst D-1 program in the nation. DO NOT tell me that soccer and swimming make us a good program. Glad the guys and gals get to come to SMU and get an education, but those sports do not matter in the US. Basketball and Football. That is IT!!!!!!
Maybe we should move to Madrid and change our names to Spanish Methodist Universtiy, so that soccer will be appreciated.

Are you talking about that NTSU program that went to 4 consecutive bowl games this decade and to the NCAA BB tourney last year?
Or the NMSU team that has MORE FB victories than SMU over the past 19 plus has has gone to the NCAA BB tourney twice in the past 9 years ...THAT NMSU school?
Just curious..

Once again...please name ANY program worse than ours over the past 19 years...
The only 3 schools that have competed in D1-A over the past 19 years with worse W-L records in FB are Duke, Temple and Kent State.
From 1989 to 2006
Duke - 18 of 19 appearances in the NCAA BB Tourney including 6 Finals and 3 National Championships.
Temple - 7 NIT appearances and 12 NCAA appearances.
Kent State - 6 NIT appearances and 4 NCAA appearances.
WE ARE THE WORST PROGRAM IN AMERICA

In the past 15 years Utah State has been to the Humanitarian and Las Vegas bowls, while Idaho defeated Miss State in the Humanitarian Bowl.
Over the past 19 years, BOTH these schools have more victories in FB than SMU.
Utah State University's men's basketball team has had one of the most successful programs in the country since 2000, winning at least 23 games in each season and appearing in the NCAA tournament numerous times.
I refuse to compare us to Florida Int'l or weastern Kentucky...you are now being silly.

NMSU was in the tournament last year. That team's coach is now an NBA coach.
