His reaction was way over the top. It wasn't a "we worked so hard to win this" celebration, it was an "up-yours, SMU" celebration.
But that's not the only reason I wouldn't want him on the staff. It goes deeper than that.
Whatever "deeper" is then maybe that's what you should stick with.... I'm sorry..... when you love a place dearly and then face that place on a football field you want to beat them. You want to beat them so badly you can taste it.
So yeah, contrary to your earlier post, it does work both ways.
You think that Darryl Royal guy didn't want to kill Oklahoma every time they faced off? I sure do. (A side note, I always enjoy the irony that a Sooner grad has his name on the UT stadium.... 'course I grew up hating both so it should be all the same to me, right? It's unfortunate, though, living far enough away from Dallas, and in a town with a Div. 1 university.... my loathing has softened quite a bit towards the dastardly Horns.)

Hate the Whorns, I hope they lose 12 games every year.
Since JJ is bringing his own QB coach and serves as his own OC, I don't think there's a spot for Ramon Flanagan on his staff that's really suited for him. Plus, Ramon never coached a Run and Shoot offense like this one.
