I'm pretty sure the last time I was in Milos...it was Up Your Alley featuring the great Bowley & Wilson. Wet T-shirt nights were always worth a visit.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

"Keep Your Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns in the Bed", "There's a muscle on my arm with a red and blue tattoo that says 'Ft. Worth ah luv you' " ... and don't forget Milo, the farting duck.

My friends and I were there the day or so before the shoot when the set designers were taking all of the modern swag off the wall and replacing it with period '60s stuff. Had the dance floor setup where Edie Brickell was performing in the movie. The Spaz wrote:They have pics of shooting near the bathrooms! mrydel is correct regarding the chronology of Milos. From Stables to Up Your Alley to Milos. But Milos was around - 1970 or 1971 - while the Stables was still in business. I think they were just west on Yale or maybe a block north on Dyer maybe ? In any event, when Milos opened it was the Taj compared to the Stables. One of the Stables owners went on to open the Railhead, north on Greenville, then opened a joint at Reunion, then moved to Portland, Oregon where he was arrested for planning the demise of his wife. With all that being said, you know where I did all my late night studying

The Stables were such a dump. Roaches climbing all over the place, dirt floor and of course within staggering distance of SMU. It was the epitome of what a bar should be.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
