I have to disagree, I really appreciate the throw back to the past, and some continuity in our jerseys. The best uniforms are timeless, they are classic and simple, and remind us of the past glory days. I think having new uniforms every year like Oregon does is very cheesy.

Exactly! SMU requires a football helmet that informs our opponents we are not a baseball team!
Perhaps you can present a uniform to the board? Should the same colors always be used, or will you alter them each season?

Apparently uniforms and helmets at S.M.U. are "dealer's choice." That is to say, every time we get a new head coach the new HC selects the uniform and helmet of HIS CHOICE. Any resemblance to our school colors is strictly a coincidence.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Thanks for all of the responses guys.. that was my point was that he was false advertising.. but I wanted to be 100 percent sure before I emailed him. I tried to flag for removal too, hopefully nobody is dumb enough to buy it since it isn't an "SMU game worn helmet"
