Craig James-TCU & Ark should be in B12

Oh look at all the whinny [deleted] crying because James told the truth. Part of his job. The same whinny [deleted] crying about Chip Brown doing is job because he was a "homer". Several of you are intellectually bankrupt which makes you look ridiculous to any one with a brain.

The only schools that make any sense for the Big 12 are Arkansas, LSU, TCU and BYU. Arkansas and LSU are happy in the SEC but James correctly makes the case that Arkansas will never excell in the SEC and would be stronger conference contender in the Big 12. TCU and BYU are eliminated because many schools don't want them and they probably don't add enough value to split the pie 12 ways. But on the field BYU and TCU have earned strong consideration.

SMU does not deserve and has not earned any consideration for the Big 12 by any standard that one might look at W/L Record, Attendance, national profile. Hell we have seriously problems even with Coach with a a 2 Million dollar a year salary getting a second look from the Top half of the Texas recruiting talent base. TCU has no such problem with about 75%+ of its players coming from BCS level players.

Quit this ridiculous dream that SMU will buy itself into expansion.. If some miracle occurs and SMU one day finds itself playing in a major conference it will be earned on the field, recruiting top BCS level talent and by attracting a strong fanbase which we can only pray compares at all with what TCU has accomplished over the last decade.

Of course Stallion saw it as a great opportunity to go down his usual list of "whats wrong with SMU and whats right about everybody else". More of the "prosecutor when it comes to SMU and a defense attorney for every other school". More demeaning and name calling for passionate SMU fans as "whiny [deleted], intellectually bankrupt, and brainless". I wonder why he doesn't go to such lengths to explain why Baylor and Iowa State don't belong in the Big 12? But alas that wouldn't be peeing on the parade on an SMU fan message board.

Not sure who the "three turds and a high school graduate" to whom you're referring are, Mr. Stallion, but I'll note that perhaps it would be more appropriate to make your argument agreeing w/ CJ without the vitriol. I don't see it as my position to infringe on your constitutionally protected right to free speech, but since we're making up rules as to who can say what and how and about whom, I'll bite.

While we're at it, I do find it somewhat amusing that your first post in the thread contained a reference to "intellectually bankrupt" people, while at the same time you referred to "whinny [sic] b!tches." Is that whinny as in pooh? Oh, wait, that's Winnie. I'm guessing you meant whiney, but I digress. Granted, I'm not a big fan of typo sheriffs-I am guilty of plenty of them. But, when it's done twice, it can sometime stand out to those of us with a brain.

As for CJ's position as one of the greatest players in SMU history, I of course agree with that observation. However, I don't know that he's above criticism, especially given his very public 'job,' which you alluded to in your post.

That's something a lot of us share in common, in particular that horrendous late Saturday morning/early afternoon in College Station the week after we last beat TCU at Ford.

Adding teams to the "new" Big 12 is a waste of time anyway...that conference is going to blow up completely within 3 years. You can't have a "conference" based on inequality....plenty of precedent on that.

Look, UT runs that conference, and until UT wants to expand, it will not expand. Hell, UT runs pretty much all of college football now, so don't hold your breath.
