We played in the Rose Bowl. We have something like 6 NFL Hall of Famers. Doak Walker was the first junior to win the Heisman. SMU had the first scholarship African American in the SWC. SMU is located in a real city in a state that is the only state in the union to be its own country.

SMU claims three national championships: 1935, 1981, and 1982. And we have ten SWC championships: 1923, 1926, 1931, 1935, 1947, 1948, 1966, 1981, 1982, and 1984 (shared with Houston).

This guy I know a law student at that said that SMU/Gerald Turner stole the colors the emblems, the Blvd term or phrase from OLE MISS and he said that we stole the ponyears hand sign from TCU.
