1. Yay for common sense.
2. When does the 7-11 on Hillcrest across from the north quad dorms file that permit to start selling beer? Talk about a license to print money.
I want to to say the University had an agreement with the two 7-11's right next to campus not to sell any alcohol. This could be total urban myth perpetrated by the SMU Morality Police though.
Turner sent an email to the mayor asking that stores nearby not sell beer. I bet he is on the take from Parkit Market
and Mustang Beverages

Dallas retailers are preparing applications for beer and wine sales permits, but don’t expect to grab a six pack at the neighborhood store for several weeks, maybe not until next year.
7-Eleven Inc. alone has 42 locations affected by Tuesday’s election and is preparing applications for each store, said spokeswoman Margaret Chabris. Kroger plans to submit license applications for four stores in Dallas and one in Addison.
Story doesn't list which 42 locations (I wouldn't expect it to) but I wonder if that Hillcrest location is one of the 42.

As a business owner, it'd be tough to read that email and not bust out laughing. Yeah, sure RGT I'll shoot myself in the knee and let business go buy from another store.

More people in the stands and even less than now watching the game.
And you think the blue hairs get upset when you stand up and make noise during the game. Imagine what would happen if this was going on in front of them???
