Boise State and TCU are taking advantage of the system, there is no doubt IMO.
Compare their 2 conferences versus the PAC-10 in Sagarin Ratings.
Worst team in the PAC-10 is Washington State, who have a ranking of 69. That would place them in the middle of the MWC and the top half of the WAC.
Stallion has consistently promoted the correlation between Rival rankings and team performance, which I agree with.
TCU dominates the non-BCS rivals rankings and dominates the non-BCS on the field.
But what Stallion has not yet reconciled to me is how TCU goes from Rivals rankings of the mid-40's to a Top 5 team? Is it coaching or is it their scheduling?
I say its their scheduling and absolutely NO WAY they go undefeated in the PAC-10 or SEC this year.
This is not meant as a criticism of TCU. They are hindered in their recruiting by not being a BCS member.
