I like and dislike things about both QB's talents, but Padron did get to have Sanders and Al help him out and for McD's first "real" defense the most experienced WR is out.

Exactly. And the"real defenses" we played last year (TCU, UCF and Tech?) were Padron's worst games by far, so we can similarly discount his "good" performances against C-USA and a terrible Wash St D enough to make a fair comparison with this year's schedule. If A&M would have hypothetically picked a well thrown deep ball by JJ as Stallion says, that's different than Padron how? If you want to compare B-12 road games, JJ v. Aggy 2011 >> KP v. Tech 2010. And Tech D probably doesn't pass Stallion's muster either. I guess my point is there is no point in making that point.

I may eat my words Saturday, but I think the right decision has been made. At worst, it's a wash, and KP gets a mulligan next year with no harm done to the team.

There were more open wr's against A&M than against anyone we've played other than Memphis. A&M's secondary was thoroughly confused. Too bad qb started horribly and didn't improve drastically.

I haven't seen a deep ball hit a receiver in stride yet this year. We need our WRs to compete for balls to be successful. We saw a couple of nice catches last week but DBs were lost and did not compete for those balls.

What was the play against NSU where Padron threw the perfect, and I mean perfect, sideline pattern that went about 40 yards?

I saw a lot of perfect balls in the UTEP game but the lights were on...so we know how that goes...

The good news is my TCU friends tell me their cornerbacks are their biggest problem this year. Of course, we don't have an RG3 to #1 wr combo like Baylor, but still I like our chances deep today if McD can get the ball to them and WRs can catch it....At least we want get to use the lights excuse.
