http://houston.culturemap.com/newsdetai ... hy-action/It's free Slurpee day.
Sadly, there are no actual 7-Elevens in the greater Houston area where the 7.11 ounce cups of heaven can be enjoyed (the closest locations are in Austin), but the company foresaw this complication and has preemptively saved the day.
On Monday, 7-Eleven is partnering with Cinemark Theatres to bring free Slurpee goodness to Houston. Ten of the chain's theaters in the Houston area are offering free Slurpees in observance of the anniversary of the iconic convenience store's birth.

I was kinda surprised to find this out.
But since cougar high is a commuter school, it would make sense they have to commute outside Houston for their 7-11 jobs.

The history of the 7-11 Houston connection is a racist Cotton Bowl president said the black players would rob all of the 7-11s in Dallas if they were invited to the bowl

94, I thought the quote went along these lines
'half the fans would be shopping there while the other half would be robbing it'
to me, that quote is funny. Yours of course is not.

Kind of funny but he meant it in A derogatory way. My grandfather was on the Cotton Bowl committee at the time and knew he was intentionally being racist
