And 2 years ago we were tickled pink just to go to the Hawaii bowl. Now we’re are having conversations about which bowl out of several options.
I do love progress.

I am hoping for Hawaii. I like the Christmas Eve game and I think it probably helps recruiting to see that we go to Hawaii for bowl games.

i hope for hawaii also so i dont have to be shaken down for 200 tickets at the cotten bowl.
that said - having a later game would be good for our injury situation, plus a post Christmas bowl is more "big time".
should would like to see June take off Prestons red shirt - i dont see why we need to worry about another year for him with all the QB's on their way - and more mobility back there would be interesting since we will just be running anyway.

Actually most fans were upset that we were going to the Hawaii Bowl in 2009. I will be happy with any bowl we go to, but my preference would be to avoid the New Orleans Bowl and Sun Belt opponent that comes with it. Hawaii Bowl has a lot of cachet as a destination so I would be happy with that. I would also enjoy playing BYU at the Armed Forces Bowl or BIG in the Ticket City Bowl. I really think we can beat a bottom feeder BIG team so that is our best opportunity. Illinois is in worse shape than we are in and Rice managed to beat Purdue so we have a decent shot at beating one of those teams. Regardless of what you think about the team, we need what is best for the program and doing what the players prefer is likely what recruits prefer and so that is my vote.

I'll gladly buy the best tickets available to go to the Ticketcity Bowl to play Purdue, or I'll gladly watch the Hawaii Bowl from my living room on the TV. I think most SMU fans are in the same boat, whichever C-USA/SMU/JJ/SO want.

Back in my day, the 60's, the TEAM actually voted on which bowl they would like. Is that done now? I think THE BOWL GAMES ARE FOR THE KIDS, NOT THE FANS since so few of us attend anyway! Let 'em go to Hawaii without so much complaining.

I'm pretty sure there is no definite pecking order after the Liberty Bowl. I know some websites list that but its pretty much discretionary with Bowls and Commissioner

Just for the TCU win alone I'd let them go anywhere they desire!
