Yep, they have a good working relationship but there's been a huge push to build an on campus stadium but ... the money isn't there.

Sdsu/Qualcomm is a dump, but you can take the train there from downtown so it's a great trip.

That is probably a good thing.

The mirror image is what we want the experience to be for visiting FB fans. Beyond SMU student participation and a full stadium, what else can we do? Hopefully, we can revisit Ford Stadium expansion by necessity.

True, in city that is one of the prettiest in the country, the stadium is a major eye sore and an embarrassment. There is a reason the Chargers are making noises about moving or build a new one.

Nope I havent been to the rent, Im just basing of the picture. It reminded me alot of Carroll HS stadium.

I want to say that Rutgers is sold out every game. at least it was a few years ago when my daughter was considering going there. students had to camp out for tickets.
the campus itself is not attractive but it is close to NYC, Philly, Atlantic City. lots of other stuff to do.

I suspect when the basketball team (and others) comes up here they will take on a few schools on one trip. many of these BE schools are 1 -2 hours apart.

Is it just me or is it odd to have SAN DIEGO State in the Big EAST? I've never been a big fan of us joining the Big East but I'll take it (money, AQ, etc etc).

SDSU is EAST of UNev-RENO, HAWAI'I, FRESNO, SJSU, and 7 (a majority of) PAC12 schools (USC/UCLA/UC/STAN/UW/OSU/UO)

That's 10% of all DIV-1a (12/~120).

Therefore, SDSU is relatively acceptable as an EASTERN school.

(PITTSBURG is in a state without a coast, much less on the Atlantic Coast, Missouri is not a Southeastern school, aTm is in a SWESTERN state, FSU is on/closest to the GULF COAST, not the ATLANTIC

I Love the fact that sdsu is in our conference. San Diego is one of my favorite cities.

Yes, I am VERY happy SDSU joined as I can drive to those games (now live near Santa Barbara) and I used to live in SD (Carlsbad) so I know it well. Just funny how directional names in the conferences don't mean anything anymore.
