A Look at Our New Roadtrips: Big East Stadiums

Post by Pony ^ »

Thought I should start a more uplifting thread to take a look at new stadiums we will be playing in (not including UCF, Houston, Navy). Take a look at our new road trips that happen to be across the entire country. Start saving your money now.

Louisville: Papa John's Cardinal Stadium -- Louisville, KY

Image

Capacity: 55-56K
Facts: Every seat in the stadium has a chairback. Only stadium in the country that can make this claim. Papa John's pizza is probably everywhere. Constructed to allow expansion of over 80k in the future.

Rutgers: High Point Solutions Stadium -- Piscataway, NJ

Image

Capacity: 52,454K
Facts: Close to NYC. Rutgers is home of the first ever college football game.

Cincinnati: Nippert Stadium -- Cincinnati, OH

Image

Capacity: 35,097K
Facts: 6th oldest college football stadium (1916). BEER.

South Florida: Raymond James Stadium -- Tampa Bay, FL

Image

Capacity: 44,441K
Facts: Home of the Tampa Bay Bucs. BEER.

UCONN: Rentschler Field -- Hartford, CT

Image

Capacity: 44K
Facts: Not much....but...BEER

San Diego State: Qualcomm Stadium -- San Diego, CA

Image

Capacity: 70,561K
Facts: Home of the Chargers. BEER.

Boise State: Bronco Stadium -- Boise, ID

Image

Capacity: 33,500K
Facts: Smurf Turf. I've heard the fans at Boise are extremely welcoming and nice...a great road trip.

Anyboyd been to any of these? Please add.

Looking forward to having the Ponies in Cinci. The stadium at Uc is really strange. It is kind of shoe horned into the campus. Not my favorite place to attend a football game though.

Rentschler at UCONN is a great stadium.

Fun fact about Louisville, their basketball arena is sponsored by Yum Brands (owner of Pizza Hut) but due to existing agreements they serve pappa johns pizza.

Thought Cincy looked really cool how it was built in between all of those buildings. I want to go to Boise and SDSU the most

Damn. The Tamba Bay Bus stadium only holds 44,000?

Nice thread.

I was shocked to see that too. I assume those tarps come off for bigger games. That pic is definitely 67+.

A trip to Louisville full of bourbon and the Louisville Slugger plant could be dangerous

I like Nippert Stadium. It's built into the side of a hill, If I remember correctly, and has a very steep bank of stands on one side. Kinda in the middle of the campus. I was there once in the 1970s and I remember some high climbs around there.

I do not look forward to seeing the Ponies on the smurf turf at Boise

San Diego Chargers.

It's also one of the worst stadiums I have ever been to.
