Tulsa needs to stay in the Sun Belt Conference.

If UTSA and Georgia State were ready then they would be good based on tv markets etc.

Why is there no mention of Fresno State who has had a good program for years until recently ? Plus they always have a full Stadium. I remember a few years ago when they almost beat USC before their National Championship game with Texas.

That loss was the greatest win of the Pat Hill era, program really fell off a cliff after that game.

becuase fresno bring neither a good TV market nor any potential BCS points. Its one or the other. Fortunately we have Dallas.

would rather not send our players to America's meth capital, and you can't say the BE has academic standards if you bury the bar in the ground. At one point Fresno could only sell school clothing off campus due to the bulldog logo being very popular with local gangs. SDSU has its problems it at least has a tv market to go with it.

Being an SMU Alumni and a Northern Nevada resident I would be really happy to add Nevada. Coach Alt has done a fantastic job. He has changed College Football with the Pistol. And he continually produces a quality team that is competitive. The Wolfpack is exciting to watch. They really could use a huge upgrade on the stadium but I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon as the budget is not there for UNR.

Here is the make up of the new 16 team "Big USA"

West (8 teams):
SMU
Houston
Boise State
SDSU
Fresno State
Nevada
UNLV
Hawaii

Potential Alternates: Colorado State, BYU, or Airforce

East (8 teams):
Notre Dame
Cincinatti
Rutgers
Connecticut
USF
Lousiville
UCF
Southern Miss

Potential Alternates: Tulsa, East Carolina, or Temple.

The kicker is Big East should force Notre Dame to join in on the fun for football too!
I have to say it is almost WAC 2.0. But better!

Yes ... I have been drinking! Jack Daniels is my best friend!
With or without JD it really sounds good to me.

I forgive June for his shenanigans and I appreciate all that he has accomplished. Thank you June!
Now let's move on and bring the team back into it's heyday!

ND would never join that conference. Maybe Navy. Or (haha) ECU or Southern Miss

Dude do not suggest Navy, if anything USM deserves to join. They go to bowl games every year, and they squashed Houston. Give them a bid, and Navy (Temple/Memphis as backups). They really need to recruit a basketball school.

Navy= considerable nationwide following = more eyeballs = more TV $$$

USM is in a crap market. They're the third string school (behind Ole Miss and Miss. St) in a small, poor state. Nothing to see here, move along.

Memphis only delivers basketball. Basketball doesn't mean jack when it comes to realignment. Temple got booted out of the BE in football a few years ago- doubt they'd get back in, also, Villanova would likely reject them as an all-sports member.

I know but USM deserves it. They had decent attendance. I understand it is all about money, and Navy ultimately would be the better choice. The Big East regardless with football improvement and potential, will always be a basketball conference (for now). If we keep adding sucky basketball teams, they will want to leave. Why not just invite Memphis to make them happy and have a nice punching bag. SDSU can have fun battling to not be with worst team in the Big East.

Navy would be added as a football-only member. USM is a sucky bball program by BE standards
