I thought loyalty is what we should value? I like that he is loyal to his boss and to SMU. We need more of the rah rah not less. Some of you people just insist on not being happy.

What do you want the guy to say?
SMU has nothing to offer. We suck and so do the players and their families. Future looks dim, go somewhere else.
People will complain no matter what!

Not a fan of the [deleted] June pulled the past week. Still not over it or willing to forgive at the moment.
But he's currently the coach and recruiters sell the coach and the program.
If these are the circumstances, then Jeff is just doing his job.

Exactly!
Plus he is sometimes speaking via Facebook to a targeted audience...recruits/parents.

There is no loyalty in coaching. Nor should there be. There is no loyalty from their employers either. What I want are coaches who will give 100% of their effort to the university as long as they are employed there. No problem with them looking for other jobs as long as they keep it quiet.
I'm in the get rid of June now camp. Not because they weren't loyal, but because they fubared the situation so badly that I believe it will be difficult for them to move forward. It would be the best thing for the program to make a change now. Has nothing to do with loyalty. It's business.

Coach Reinebold is Ace! I'm not close to the program. But, I've seen and heard enough from him and those that are close to him to know he is about as good of a coach as there is. We've all been through a bad experience. But, it's time to move on. There's no good way to make this go away. Will everything work out right? Let's give it a year and see where we are. In the meantime, no one at SMU should have bad feeling against Coach Jeff Reinebold, at least over this week of chaos.

With Jeff, I don't think so. This guy is the epitome of the positive, high-motor, high-motivation attitude you want in a coach. In person, he comes off as totally genuine.
That being said, he's also the kind of guy who would figure a way to turn lemons into lemonade. And sometimes, it is in fact just a Leon.
What did Leon do?

I'm still a little bitter too for the way things went down. That being said, I understand the nature of the business, although It certainly could have been handled better from a PR standpoint. I do not choose to tag Jones and his staff as traitors that hate the program as many have. He is a coach, that was trying to do what coaches do. I for one am glad he, Reinebold, Klemm, and the rest of the staff are still here. I will continue to show up at games and look for the positives as I did when a single win was cause for optimism. Say what you want but there is no denying that the football program is miles ahead of where it was when Jones took over.

Like the guys who just coached their teams in the CUSA Championship game but won't coach them in their bowl games?
