SAT AM...BREAKFAST @ THE PARK CITIES HILTON WITH COACHES - PROSPECTS AND FAMILIES...AS IMPRESSIVE AS THIS GROUP IS THE PARENTS ARE AS IMPRESSIVE...WE RARELY LOSE A GUY IF THE PARENTS COME MEET JUNE - FEEL THE ENVIRONMENT AND LEARN ALL THAT SMU HAS TO OFFER A STUDENT - ATHLETE...WITH EVEN MORE FACILITIES UPGRADES AND THE RESOURCES FROM THE MOVE TO THE BIG EAST THE FUTURE OF SMU FOOTBALL HAS NEVER BEEN BRIGHTER...

What does June wear at these meetings with prospects and families? Anything with SMU on it? Or, are we talking black Hawaiian shirt and lei? Just curious...

With Jeff, I don't think so. This guy is the epitome of the positive, high-motor, high-motivation attitude you want in a coach. In person, he comes off as totally genuine.

That being said, he's also the kind of guy who would figure a way to turn lemons into lemonade. And sometimes, it is in fact just a Leon.

I like the guy. The guy gets NOTHING get him down! It wasn't that long ago that he received some extremely difficult news that would knock most of us on our arse. His post that morning was nothing short of inspirational. He's the real deal.

Have you noticed that he always sings Jones praises? Watch the Stampede, it's about Jones. He is a one-man PR shop for June Jones. I'm just ready to get rid of most of these guys.

Sorry buddy, but you are so wrong about Jeff......he is the real deal ! I corresponded with him shortly after his cancer diagnosis and was amazed at his positive attitude. He is one of my favorite people and a great role model for our student - athletes.
