We had a rough week with a coaching situation but it is behind us so get over it. If you want to do something positive try to find a way to get students and fans into the stadium. That is our biggest problem. As for the R&S SMU will never attract the kind of personnel needed for power football. Like him or not June has brought a new beginning for SMU football, or you must have a short memory.
I agree. At a school in SMU's situation, the quickest way to a productive offense is with a wide-open passing scheme or with the a Navy style option. You need a lot of depth to run a more balanced offense, and we don't have it. I like Navy's offense myself, because it allows you to be successful with smaller linemen, but we went the other route and have recruited some pretty good kids who want to play it.

1987.
I was a sophomore trying hard to get into Cox School to study business.
It was a challenge but I got in to study Finance.
My buddies and I would travel to watch football.
In 1987 we went to Oklahoma for a game since there was no football at SMU.
What a bummer no football. Someone should strangle the NCAA for the harsh penalty.
The penalty that will never be repeated again.
REM played at Moody (setlist below):

I've noticed you aren't a fan of the run and shoot offense. How does it compare to the spreads used by Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Mike Leach? Please explain the route concepts and packages that each system uses.
