It's Texas. Boots hide flasks. Flasks hide liquor. Moody sells soda. Fiesta hoops.

We have a ton of money at SMU. Let's just rent a student body that isn't chock full of popped collar [deleted]. Problem solved.

On a side note, I'm gonna pee all over the game thread if the fratdouchies show up in greek gear and not SMU colors for a league game.

In the past when the frats and sororities have shown up all they do is sit around looking bored and leave at halftime. Why should I be excited that they are rumored to show up tonight?

I have no time for snotty, soft, entitled, wannabe aristocrats, that dress like their mommy laid out their clothes before the country club social. Not only do they not attend games, we have to overcome their pathetic and accurate rep on the trail. It's why you don't see me chime in on attendance issues. Never gonna change, even w/a top 20 team. If lack of support offends to the point of ruining your good time, its the wrong program for you. It's always going to be just us, which is why the scotch will taste that much better when we dance or win a championship in an AQ league.

That's what Sigma Mu Upsilon students do. It's one of our time-honored traditions.

Good news is that all of the freshman are not in fraternities yet, so they will not be in fraternity colors. Not saying that means they will be in SMU colors, but it is something.

I am for anything that gets them into the arena. You never know, maybe some of them will have a good time and decide to come back.

How about we get them there first dressed in hula skirts if they want to wear that then we show them that wearing SMU gear is the best

May not be all thier fault. Have heard repeatedly that the athletes act like Gods towards the everyday student body. In the old days we had athletic involvment from all sports at our games, football, swimming, baseball, track, etc. Somewhere this has been lost.

I don't really care what the student body is wearing as long as they show up.

This IS SMU. It was that way when you went there - and I assume you did. It was that way when I went there. It's always been that way. It'll always be that way. We'll never have that "commoner", state school appeal. We're a snotty, soft, private school. And... you're exactly right on the "wannabe aristocrats".
