this is old news and has been discussed minimally here. i'm assuming those threads also got deleted.
as this one will most likely.

Re: Rules about JJ on PF
There are only a few things that I care about JJ, and they are the following:
1. JJ get off your [deleted] (or tell the other coaches to get moving) and get recruits
2. stop being a drama queen half way through the season and taking down the mood of the whole team with you (see games after UCF)
3. get out there and coach, win games, make it look like we are ready for BE
4. Please try and at least ACT like you want to be at SMU and value our traditions ( I will never forget you saying after the TCU game that you didn't know the Iron Skillet was that big a deal. REALLY? )
thanks

It makes sense to me.

Why bring up negative non-football/personal life rumors from years ago that have been shown cant be proven? What good is going to come from you airing dirty laundry personal life rumor concerning SMU's Head Football Coach? Sure other boards may allow crazy rumors but many of those schools are well established and have lots of years of successful "teflon".....we dont....no one has had to come from as far back as us.
Is your point to demean June Jones? Is your agenda to hurt SMU? I suppose I could better understand some anger spewing like this if we were repeatedly 1-11....but to seem so intent on posting wild negative rumor about our head coach that performed the biggest turn-around in SMU history?....wow...I just dont get it!
Why would an SMU fan that got deleted/banned from posting unproven negative libel rumor about the SMU Head Football Coach be so intent on posting the negative rumors...run and quickly resign up under a different name to continue self-centered ego-based negative posting of stuff from years ago that is unproven rumor and possibly libelous about our coach?
Is your point of bringing these rumors up repeatedly....to help our coaches feel better about SMU fans? Is your point to help a parent lurking reading posts feel better about sending their son to play for our coach? Is your point to help our current players feel better about their head coach and SMU fans? Is it good for coaches morale? Is it good for player morale? Is it good for parent's morale? Is it good fodder for coaches from other schools recruiting against us?
Do you have no respect for PonyPride that runs this mesaage board that you resign up and continue down the same path? None of the sources you refer to are "SMU FAN" based entities. PonyFans allows frank discussions about football decisions and all things SMU....but when you try to cross over into the personal lives of our coaches in a demeaning way about rumor stuff from years ago that were not in any way SMU related it crosses the line and I am glad that PonyPride did what he did.
I completely agree with this. Well said. This is a site for FANS. Certainly can be critical of football-related issues. But leave the personal stuff for another site or create your own.

BUT, I will say that the PF police state compared to other school's boards gives this place an amateur vibe. It does a disservice to the school for this board to be run so badly.[/quote]
Actually not true. In fact, the key Supreme Court case in this area deals with a College Football Coach in about 1964 who claimed he was libeled by a Football magazinine. However, he is a public figure so he would have to show malice which in this context means the author had to KNOW the statement was untrue when made or made the statement with reckless disregard for the truth-ie published the statement without a reasonable investigation of the truth if the publisher had reasonable doubt of the truth or veracity of the statement. That's a very difficult standard to meet

Oh hell junior...pm the poor guy and send him over to your new home. I'm sure everyone over there will welcome him with open arms.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Lots of posters have been critical of coaches, players and the administration and have not been banned, because they are able to maintain a level of civility in the way they present their thoughts. Dredging up old, often-repeated jibberish and attacking others who disagree with you is pretty childish and annoying to actual fans.
