You have made all the lemonade you can make from this lemon - be proud that you have a generally good school that over- achieves in most everything that you do. But you aren't SMU and Tulsa isn't Dallas.

You just got a truly outstanding university president from us. Personally hoping this is some kind of practice run for him to return to SMU when Turner hangs it up.

Even when CUSA made its expansion it said it was focusing on schools in major metro areas. If Tulsa was in the Sunbelt or WAC right now would CUSA have made an offer during this current expansion?

Not to be mean KTP, the game is changing, perhaps a shift in focuses is in order for Tulsa. You did get a great higher for president, but he went to Rice BS through PhD, so I wouldn't hold your breath sports wise.

All Tulsa has to do is pretty much win 2 OOC games and they'll practically be a ranked team every year.

Don't worry, the Big East will lose a few more teams, and then we'll invite USM and Tulsa, and the Big East will be CUSA, and CUSA can be the Sun Belt, and the Sun Belt can be FCS.

There is nothing fair or right about conference realignment. Its about money and TV. . .period. A lot of quality schools are getting left out in the cold and it sucks. I really don't know what else to say. College athletics is becoming more and more disgusting with every TV deal and every conference move. It's sad really. Frankly it makes the go-go days of the 1980s look quaint by comparison.

I was thinking the same thing. Once Turner turns in the keys, it would be good to see Orsak come back to SMU to take over as President.

Would be a respectable choice for president. I imagine Turner will stay on as Chancellor of the University. Too good of a fundraiser to put out to pasture.
