Ive pretty much been on suicide watch for the last week.

I came pretty close to jumping out of my window last friday when CUSA turned into the Sun Belt.

Tulsa and Southern Miss dont deserve this nonsense. My butthurt is at new levels.

Im just praying that somehow baby Jebus gets Tulsa into the Big East.

I dont understand why we didnt make a power move to the MWC with UTEP but apparently Britton and THompson are having [deleted] sex and are hell bent on this stupid f-in superfriends bull..sh...t.

Hold me Pony Friends.

NEat. We can beat the dog [deleted] out of UNT, UTSA, RIce, Tulane, UTEP and have one close division game with La Tech. The thing that sucks the most is that we dont even get to play USM and ECU every year.

I'm gonna cry real life tears on Nov 24th @ Ford Stadium.

Florida FING International and a school that HAS NEVER PLAYED A D-1 GAME IN ITS HISTORY.

I want to throw up.

Feel your pain. Felt the same when the SWC broke up and then when so many strong teams left CUSA. LaTech will be a good fore as will UTEP.

Tulsa deserves better. Unfortunately, they appear to have been a little slow on the draw and short of key supporters to have avoided what could be seen on the horizon several years back.

Tulsa has for the most part dominated CUSA West since 2005. While we sucked under Wojick we were in the CUSA Finals most years.

Calm down, catch your breath, and think long term.

Conference affiliation is about as permanent nowadays as a Hollywood marriage.

The BE is about as secure as CUSA now - every school in there wants out already. Rutgers, UConn, and Louisville have all admitted they have talked with other conferences. They leave, it may be TU getting an invite there.

To be quite honest, I can't promise anyone that a decade from now we won't be back in a newer version of the current CUSA.

The BCS is looking shakier and shakier and who's to tell what will happen. If the MWC goes to 14 (I think they will be at 12 with SJSU and USU) UT may very well find themselves in better company than SMU's right now in another verion of a BCS conference.

But bottom line - NO CONFERENCE AFFILIATION SHOULD BE CONSIDERED PERMANANT RIGHT NOW.

Sure you are a nice guy and all but you lost total credibility on this board when you continually harped on SMU to BE as a big mistake for us. I guess now you understand why we were so jazzed. Not only were we moving up, but those left behind are kynd a scr*wd.

Tulsa will never roll with the big boys. Small alumni base + terrible TV market = Sun Belt. That is your reality.

Jury is still out on SMU as well due to our alumni base, but things are kynd a looking up for us.

How great is it to have influential alumni who care. And of course, Dallas is our trump card.
