Let's see....his supporters are coaching at TCU, Tulsa, Aggie, Baylor, UCF, UTEP, So. Miss. Licking their collective chops. 5-7.

I think June is used to getting a lot better support from his fan base, which based on some of the statements that I heard, may have been one reason he entertained overtures from ASU. [/quote]Herein is a major problem. The fan base is not and should not be "his" (meaning JJ). The fan base should be a base of MUSTANG FANS. JJ, and supporters, in case you haven't noticed the world revolves without you. Let's make the support about who it rightfully belongs to--the team. If JJ doesn't like it-- leave. Don't let Peruna drop kick you on your way out of Ford.

after every loss, it's the same old "fire the coach" and "play the 2nd string QB".

the only June supporters who matter are the money guys stroking those checks. When they think it's time for a change, there will be a change. Until then, I just hope the few loyalists we have remain loyal. If you bought into the cornerstone package and supported SMU through all those 1-11 seasons, this isn't that bitter a pill to swallow.

Who knows, maybe we come back and win CUSA and JJ takes a job with another down and out school and you get your wish.

It's not after every loss. People did not say this last year after losses. Only this year after being embarrassed by 35 at Baylor and get embarrassed by 45 at home by ATM (in his 5th year as HC at SMU) with a recruiting class that has only one player with BCS offers as we get ready to go to a BCS conference with only Memphis as a for sure win next. If we barely get to a bowl game there will not be another school after him.

Saw the board last year and no one was this upset after losing a game but they did to really get the tar beat out of them like in the Baylor and ATM games. But you must be a June to the death supporter.

good to know you were here last year. hope you stick around and become one of the 1500. you must have forgotten the "fire the coach" discussions after being humiliated by A&M last year, or Tech before that, or some of our CUSA conference mates (USM and Tulsa come to mind). And no, I'm not a blind JJ supporter. I'm just amused by the "fire the coach" crowd that shows up on cue after every blowout loss. We've suffered through a few of those since that mean old death penalty was handed down.

In the 5th year SMU should be competitive (not necessarily win). This attitude of it's ll the players fault and not any coaching fault is just not right.

Once JJ pulled the ASU stunt, is when more folks started to turn on him. I think some who would normally cut him some slack have less patience when he blew up one of the best recruiting classes we would have had in years. And he wrapped it up in double talk.

The last game at Tech was much more competitive. We certainly 'showed up',and I don't recall many torches or pitchforks.

Speaking of that game.. man, what's become of DJ this year ? Injured worse than we thought v Baylor ?

It isn't just the losing or even losing big to solid A&M or Baylor. It is the horrible offense, even against SFA. with out the turnovers we lose that game. We had may 1 or 2 legit drives against a DI-AA team. That's unacceptable at this point.

I am a supporter. He is the coach of the team that I support. He has taken a moribund program and helped revive it to a reasonable level.

To get Biblical and all, he may be the Nehemiah to rebuild the walls...there may be an Ezra in the future that has to come consecrate the grounds after the walls are completed.

The walls are complete, so when does Ezra arrive?

Walls were completed last year, and should of had Ezra this spring to train out guys for this season...

Charleston pony I was active on the board last year don't remember fire JJ at least to this point plus last year we were 5-1 at one point... Tech game was really good almost won... That's when I was hardcore JJ fan now I'm on the other side
