I am celebrating the most points SMU has ever scored and the victory. The game was a lot of fun. Can't we let the coaches off the hook for one week? Griping about the coaching should be suspended for a few days no matter how much you dislike him. It smacks of pettiness to do anything other than celebrate the win for these kids.

Yes, I am still t i c ke d off about Tulane but that is over with. Offense still isn't good - but getting a little better. With a little red zone and luck, we could be 4-3 or 5-2 (1st and goal at 2).
I'm with giddy up on this one.

We aren't paying $2M for luck, just saying.

No, we aren't. The CofC is and he will be here until they tire of him. No use complaining.

What's the point of this board then? Don't get why it has to be all sunshine all the time.

My comment was more about setting appropriate expectations than complaining. It is not acceptable to rely on luck to beat Tulane with the offense SMU signed up for. Period.

I support the team and expect a perfect season! Fire June now so that the next coach has less of a hole to dig us out of!

My point was that I doubt that a single member of the C of C has any particular interest in the rants on this board. For better or worse they are a group of very powerful and influential people who undoubtedly have a point of view of the situation based on more information than any of us can access.

The same that have been making out of touch clueless decisions on SMU football for 20 years.

You think they have time to dig for real info? Most know what Turner feeds them.

Are you going to let us know if there is a number of points SMU could score that you would not consider a disaster?

As a JJ apologist, allow me to apologize for all the suffering the JJ haters suffered Thursday. One can only shutter at the feelings of disappointment many suffered as the scoreboard flashed more and more SMU points.

A few of us in the stands truly enjoyed the moment and feelings of joy with constant scoring against a very disliked opponent. But I can feel the pain of others that dreamed of an arse whuppin' put on the Ponies while heading towards a 1-11 season.

I am truly sorry that JJ's team (team= offense, defense and specialty teams) did so well and ruin many's evening.

I know many are desperately seeking a blow out next week with MSU killing the hated JJ team. I would like to apologize in advance cause that ain't gonna happen.

It wasn't a disaster for me - I thoroughly enjoyed crushing Houston who near texas tech in annoying factor. I also realize that it wasn't a dominating offensive performance. Our offense is still weak and we can't expect to play backup QB turnover machines every week. We have had that situation in 2/3 of our wins.

The delusional will fins the victory to be a disaster because they now think the offense is fixed. I hope they are right, but fear we will continue to look bad. Unfortunately for the June apologists expectations are now raised as they think the offense is working and we should blow people out.

Ok then, what amount of points would not be a disaster for the apologists you speak of in your mind?
