I doubt they give SMU any favors as we exit to the Big East. I bet we end up in Dallas against Big 10 so they can sell some tickets locally
So they have the power to decide where we go?

Don't see how that's even possible, but would love playing Vandy. Would love Minnesota or Duke as well.

IMO net $ to the university is probably much better playing in the old Cotton Bowl vs. a big ten team vs. going to hawaii and playing a lesser team.

Unfortunately, as we saw at the Armed Forces Bowl, the team has the Hawai`i Bowl crammed so far down their throat from day one they will likely show up uninspired anywhere else.
Because, of course, the reward for a good season is a nice trip - not the chance to play the best possible opponent to show the world how good you really are no matter the time or place, right?

All that "seeking out top competition" crap is for ambitious programs, who the hell would want to be one of those?

I want vandy. I want to destroy them, just like they destroy their student organizations with pinko-fascist laws. We should be striving for liberty bowl only
