I hope that if we don't get to the Liberty bowl that we get to either the Independence bowl or Dallas Bowl.

For games I could reasonably attend, I wouldn't mind any of them.

I'm less concerned about Destination (i can't go to any because of work most likely), so my only Focus is on opponent. For me I'd love to play Vanderbilt or Minnesota, its always good to get a win from a "power conference" team. Duke doesn't count because regardless of if they ahve a decent year everyone thinks duke sucks (which they do).

Vanderbilt could be fun. Duke would be stupid, and the main story line would just focus on how they haven't been to a bowl in xx years.

I'd like to play the Gophers just to know that certain poster will blow up trying to decide which team to root for.

Back in my playing days, we got to have input on the bowl game destinations. Don't the kids get to choose if the bowls want you? Or am I living in the past?

If the payouts were equal, I could see letting a team vote. But otherwise, that decision strictly rests with the AD and HC. Occasionally you'll hear a team gripe about going to one bowl game vs. another (couple of years ago several Cal players were vocal about wanting to go to Las Vegas instead of SF) and even more rarely take a vote on the matter (Syracuse in '96).

In this case, where do you think 18-22 year olds want to go for a week? Birmingham, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Memphis, Shreveport or Honolulu?

actually CUSA is probably gonna tell us where to go based on multiple factors. CUSA owns the Dallas Bowl and stands to lose substantial money if it fails. I doubt they give SMU any favors as we exit to the Big East. I bet we end up in Dallas against Big 10 so they can sell some tickets locally
