There has never been an example of expansion working in favor of the conference with less prestige, worse bowls and less revenues. I'd give that a 2% chance which would only have a possibility of working if the ACC votes to disband which I guess could happen if a majority of remaining schools leave at the same time and they want to avoid departure penalty

Well, that and the fact that 3 of the suggested 5 members are charter members of the Big East and 2 of those 3 are still in the Big East.
