This class looks so incredibly lackluster. Gotta be June's least impressive group (Except for the scramble of year 1) - right?

Well whAt would you do with Wimbley. You would think we could find a place to use him. He does from playing as a freshman cause he was too strong to keep off the field to riding the bench cause he got winded after a run. It's just weird.

Minor is big enough and good enough to start at NG next year in a pinch. He's going to end up there sooner or later

June said that he moved Wimbley to RB because he was not doing well at NT and had a better chance to see the field at RB. A move back to NT might not be the best thing if he was not playing that well there.

good point, he might be a decent LB? -- I don't think he ever sees the field at RB. Seems like he was good size. Williams will hopefully be back and I sure hope we see more than 1 RB this year with some rotation. Seeker looked ok too.
I really liked the balance we had with Line and Shawnbrey. Kept the defense off guard.

Did we use any 2-back formations or packages that year? I think GG running a zone read with Shead as a speed back and another power back like Little Line or Wimbley would be successful

Yes, June's severely lacking in judgement when it comes to running backs. Oh wait, didn't he take a lightly regarded, unrecruited white linebacker from Michigan and turn him into a multi-time all conference selection and probable NFL running back draftee?

we weren't talking about as a starter Mr June Suckup-there have been other opportunities in each of last 2 years

Keep in mind also that Wimberly lost a ton of weight so he isn't exactly an ideal size to play NG right now.
I think the fact is that we are absolutely stacked at RB and LB. There isn't anywhere to move some of these guys.
