Not true, young'un. Move on... leave the Pony Express in the past... where it belongs.

My friend Mr. Brad Bradley, who I spoke to this evening, remembers the Doak Walker era well.

What sport is that?..if you are talking baseball.. tell that to TCU..Rice.. LSU , etc... Texas Rangers pro ball and all of the Triple A and Double A local teams around the country. It would be a great diversion on campus if a successful program in a dead sports time of year.

We could go with those awful Dave Smith era grey/silver helmets if you want retro with Red Jerseys and silver pants. No blue at all in those except for one stripe in the helmet. June Jones probably likes red and we have red.

The only time SMU has ever worn blue helmets was during the Phil Bennett years, so there would be nothing retro about going with blue helmets. If you want retro then we should go back to red helmets with no stripes like we wore during the Doak Walker and Jerry LeVias eras.
Red helmets, white pony, blue jerseys, gray pants were/are the best.
Giant oversized white numerals, no stripes anywhere.

Come on SMT. There are plenty of 85+ year olds without dementia who vividly remember the doak walker era. It is just as relevant as the 80s.
