The problem with calling for a white out is that we have to accept the fact that if we are lucky there will be only 40% of the crowd that are tech fans and wearing black. whit-outs red-outs or any outs exposes the fact that there will be a strong contingent of visiting fans and will look awful. We aren't to the place where we sell out every game with 95% SMU fans, until then just encourage our fans to wear read or blue and be loud.

Exactly. This is what every other athletic team does when it wants a ___ out. It hands out free shirts. At a Mavericks playoff game 2 years ago, they even shamed people into wearing the shirts by showing resisters on the jumbo tron with a message "Put The Shirt On!" Until the crowd made them do it.

From the announcement, "SMU Athletics is calling for a "WHITEOUT" for its home opener, and is asking fans attending the game to wear white on Friday."
So just wear white pants or shorts and whatever shirt you want. They asked us to wear white. They didn't specify what article of clothing they wanted white.

Yea, get over it and wear white. Agree, your mini rebellion isnt helping. I am not a fan of it but will anyway. We will be outnumbered regardless.

BTW, for all those refusing to wear white... I think you need to get over yourselves... Whether or not you 'like it', shouldnt matter. I agree 100% that a white out will only look good if everyone does it and we have 90% of the stadium. For those of you real fans who will wear the colors you want out of spite, you will just be another person who makes our visual impact worse. BTW, the students like this tradition...
WEAR WHITE. BRING A WHITE TOWEL. FOLLOW THE LEADERSHIP of this University. A red out wouldnt be bad in this situation, but lets not fight against ourselves. We are already too few to make a difference. We will just look the opposite of united when you wear blue / black / red. So save your opposition to emails / discussions with people who can change the decision for next year, and help the MUSTANGS THIS YEAR.
End rant. Wear white.
All we care about is whether the sorority girls wear skimpy white, thin dresses. Because it's hot, don't want them to get too hot.

Agreed, this will really expose the truth, to the players from both teams, fans, and the ESPN cameras. Bad idea.

The point is it doesn't matter what you do or don't do at that later in life age. Because at that age some young a__ hole will acuse you of being an old fool or whatever, without knowing a thing about you, just because you are that age. Paybacks are hell.

Very well. Wish the indignities of old age upon those younger. Whatever gets your jollies off as you sit in the lazy boy all day watching the History channel. Its amusing and sad at the same time. But consider putting on a white shirt with the majority of the fans on Friday. Or you will simply continue to resemble an old, stubborn and petty fool. And no amount of backstory on your justifies your behavior when it's so small minded and petulant. And that's the issue. Amuse yourself with whatever delusions you create in your head...you've earned the right to do so.

Here's what Clown College is missing. There are no indignities of old age. You will look back at being 20 the same way you look back now at being 9. Had you only known then what you know now.
I like the spirit though. I will too be wearing white.
