WIll we announce Tech as a "sell out"

I just saw a tweet this morning to call for tickets...

Correct me if I am wrong, but there was like 500ish packages left (no single tickets for sale). That was a week or 2 ago.

Is this tweet just advertising lawn tickets? I heard that there was "high demand for this game" so, I just was wanting y'alls input.

I think it would be cool if - We opened up at home (first time since I've been at school that we have done this) with a sell out crowd and a home field advantage.

BTW, for all those refusing to wear white... I think you need to get over yourselves... Whether or not you 'like it', shouldnt matter. I agree 100% that a white out will only look good if everyone does it and we have 90% of the stadium. For those of you real fans who will wear the colors you want out of spite, you will just be another person who makes our visual impact worse. BTW, the students like this tradition...

WEAR WHITE. BRING A WHITE TOWEL. FOLLOW THE LEADERSHIP of this University. A red out wouldnt be bad in this situation, but lets not fight against ourselves. We are already too few to make a difference. We will just look the opposite of united when you wear blue / black / red. So save your opposition to emails / discussions with people who can change the decision for next year, and help the MUSTANGS THIS YEAR.

Agree completely Smitty. At least for the students but preferably at every gate, give one to an SMU fan with a red or blue shirt on. I think the press release said we're giving away 5,000 white rally towels. That will look great in a crowd of 32,000 (just kidding)

Just wear white. Some people act like this is some shocking development! Anyone who has been to the first game surely has spotted the coeds walking up and down in white dresses. Wear white and enjoy the atmosphere and game.

I appreciate the coeds. I do not do what I do out of spite. I wear team colors. Also last year the athletic department declared "red Fridays". I am following their request.

if you absolutely can't/won't wear white - bring a white dish towel or paper towel or anything white to waive around.

That would help. It would be great if SMU handed out 15-20k towels, instead of only 5k. But even that is better than nothing.
