as for the original message posted in this thread, the schedule sets up favorably for SMU by not having to play Louisville so the question is, would you be proud or embarrassed to be in a BCS game with a record of 9-3 or even 8-4? I think we would all acknowledge we were handed a gift, but I would still be very proud of these guys if they could pull that off.
I would be very embarrassed knowing we can't even stay on the field against mediocre big 12 teams yet we somehow are in a bcs game? Fortunately this scenario has a 0.0% chance of happening. Let's all just forget about this season already. When does bball start?

I agree with 2007. No way we beat Rutgers or Cincy or UCF. They play "big boy" football. I'd bet Rutgers and UCF both would have beaten TCU AND TTU. They are simply, flat better than us very sad to say. I would LOVE to be proven wrong. This is a 4 win season unfortunately and it will be blamed on, "well, we're in a tougher conference now and we knew it would be tougher" BS. The Houston game will be another heartbreaker I fear. And it all starts with the HC.

You may regret saying "No way we beat Rutgers". I'm not predicting we win but this is a winnable game at home and think likely the key game to determine if we are bowl eligible. I predict 5-7 so obviously I'm predicting Rutgers wins but with the 2nd leading RB in the country out I think SMU has got a real shot. Winning games on the road is what college football is all about and much more difficult than some realize

JJ penciled this as a "w", some initial effort will be made.
