He sounds like that loser Horsepower. Horsepower said that he EXPECTED to lose against Tech. I am willing to say Boise St would not have expected to lose against Tech (a mid to lower tier BCS team) nor would a pre BCS TCU have expected to lose against Tech. They would have come in ready to execute and win even if they didn't.

I would be embarrassed to go to a BCS game if we lose to an incredibly mediocre big 12 team like that, and are sure to get stomped by a&m and TCU.

I could be wrong, which wouldn't be the first nor last time. . . I think he's implying that you need to concentrate on your customers at 7-11, instead of posting non-SMU subjects on an SMU message board. . . just sayin.

Cougar King is just doing his part to try and build the SMU/Houston rivalry. While TCU might be the school we consider to be our rivals, Houston is suddenly the only holdover conference mate we have from the old SWC days. Let's hope SMU vs Houston can become a premier rivalry within the AAC. I think UCF vs USF has great potential, but being in the 2 largest cities in Texas is what helped us get into the Big East and there is no reason that both schools shouldn't be competing at the top of the standings in both football and bball

as for the original message posted in this thread, the schedule sets up favorably for SMU by not having to play Louisville so the question is, would you be proud or embarrassed to be in a BCS game with a record of 9-3 or even 8-4? I think we would all acknowledge we were handed a gift, but I would still be very proud of these guys if they could pull that off.

It would be great, but the result would similar to Hawaii vs Georgia......not TCU vs Wisconsin.
