If 100% healthy, Nlemchi should start ahead of Line, no questions

K C did play well. Good game. I hope he gets more opportunities.
Re: Nice job KC Nlemchi
100 percent healthy nlemchi hasn't been the starter. Expect line and shead (once healthy) to be the rbs. Line had 5.8 per carry last night and can block. Nlemchi good for ocasssional change of pace back.LA_Mustang wrote:If 100% healthy, Nlemchi should start ahead of Line, no questions

June's method of deciding who starts:
Who started last game/beginning of the season?
OK, let's go with them.

I just think it's on the field try-outs all season. I have no idea what they are practicing diring Spring/Fall practices, seemingly nothing. We don't even have a set kick returner going into Game 3...I assume JaBryce is PR against Aggy.
Re: Nice job KC Nlemchi
I didn't see the play he missed a block, but on the final drive he was blowing up LB's on pass protection. The kid is big/solid up close. I don't buy that he can't block. I saw Line struggle a bit picking up a few blitzes.mrydel wrote:Line was put in on sure passing downs which tells you something. KC missed a block on the first pass play he was in on. But on the last TD drive he did an excellent job of picking up blitzes. Sometimes you need to see the real game at game speed to do what you need to do. I think he and Line can ve another Line/Shawnbrey combo.

You might have missed the play he missed the block because you were probably watching Gilbert being buried in the backfield.RE Tycoon wrote:I didn't see the play he missed a block, but on the final drive he was blowing up LB's on pass protection. Nlemchi decided to pick up the guy coming around the end and missed the LB blitzing right up the middle

I watched Nlemchi on several plays when he did pick up a block, although I definitely didn't watch him on every play.
I'm really happy for him, though. He seems like such a great kid, and I was thrilled to see him enjoy some success.
I assume, if he's healthy, Shead returns to the starting lineup.

This is politics, pure and simple. So KC is the number one RB in Houston, but he can't sniff the field at SMU? Doesn't June have some type of relationship to Line's family? I know this is blasphemy but neither Zach or his brother Prescott are game changers. They are decent running backs and good on special teams...not game changers. KC is a game changer.GiddyUp wrote:Sat on the bench for 2 yrs why??

Yea. The number two rusher ever at SMU is just a decent runner. Get real. Uncle June is I'm sure up in Michigan this weekend with the Lines. Come on mom just be happy for Kc's moment.dirtysouthpony wrote:This is politics, pure and simple. So KC is the number one RB in Houston, but he can't sniff the field at SMU? Nlemchi did awesome. I was like "who the heck is that guy". Saved our butts on that TD run.

if he plays he instantly improves our offense-he can do some of things Shawnbrey did
