I care not for what Rivals says. Scout and everyone else say otherwise.

That's because they don't conform to your delusional propaganda.

Can we get this TROLL banned?

If the mods could ban both FTHP and Cougar King's new alias, that would probably be welcomed by all others around here.

Is FTHP having an argument with himself?

ESPN:
1 4 star (Gresham)
7 3-stars rated 75 or above (solid BCS)
11 3-stars rated 74 - 70 (lower level BCS/upper end FBS)

3rd recruiting class in our conference

Say what you will about the other more unofficial SMU board with initials CP, but they at least know to ban the IP address, not the login, so mutt posters got dealt with real quick.

Jesus Christ.... Right when I read the title I knew this was going to be about a high rating due to quantity and not quality. This misleading ranking by the rivals/scout has been discussed in depth on here. I've said it before and i'll say it again, FTHP, you're a complete tard

YEAR 4 STAR 3 STAR
2011 --- 1 ----- 20
2012 --- 0 ----- 13
2013 --- 0 ----- 7
2014 --- 0 ----- 3

And we gave JJ a contract extension?

SMU's class rated 9th out of 10 teams in the AAC

We will be mediocre at best if this keeps up

yeah but total number of 3+ stars

2011-271
2012-273
2013-200
2014-152

Stars are deceptive if comparing years during which Rivals clearly had different star standards. Rivals is now returning to a more restrictive standard they had before 2008

Couldn't you just then look at percentage of available 3+ Stars brought in over last 4 years...

2011 - 21 out of 271 = 7.7%
2012 - 13 out of 273 = 4.8%
2013 - 7 out of 200 = 3.5%
2014 - 3 out of 152 = 2.0%

Or am I looking at that wrong?? Still seems like a pretty steady decline

well in the past we have never been competitive for many Texas Top 100s-we might get a couple. Most of the 3+ star kids we got in say 2011 and 2012 (other than Klemm's out of staters) were in that 100-275 range. That range has been cut by 2/3rds. It was way too many 3+ stars when you realize that only about 360 Texas kids signed with Division 1A schools. Many 3+ stars weren't even in the Top half of the Texas crop. The best method to compare is offers with the additional caveat that some kids who sign VERY early might commit BEFORE all their offers were made.
