Funny to see this statement. In my day on the mean streets of FB Shipley was the donut of choice for the hated marginally more affluent kids in Carrollton at Newman Smith, whereas at RL Turner we had Donut Palace, which is much more 'hood' but did have a drive thru.Pony Boss wrote:Shipley donuts are hood donuts. I was born in Houston and most of my family still lives there and I have been looking for a donut shop to compare to a hot Shipley's glazed donut and have failed miserably.Bergermeister wrote:Shipley's on North St. in Nacogdoches.
Umm any Krispy Kreme's in Texas? Now those are hot and melt in your mouth. I grew up with them here in the mean streets of Northern Virginia.smudubs wrote:I was born in Houston and most of my family still lives there and I have been looking for a donut shop to compare to a hot Shipley's glazed donut and have failed miserably.Bergermeister wrote:Shipley's on North St. in Nacogdoches.
