I guess Rick needs to subscribe to the pay sites then since the NCAA contacts them first before relaying the penalties on to the school.

I know you are being sarcastic. I appreciate the pay sites and realize their importance but boy they really read the teas leaves wrong at times.

Probably I should leave it to one of the lawyers to comment on this, but as a fan I think the NCAA action or lack of action malicious, if not criminal, so far as the effect on our BB program is concerned. The NCAA is hurting recruiting and the long run effect can't be good. Does it matter that our involvement with the NCAA is voluntary? Sixth Amendment anyone? Is it time to lawyer up? The long delay in it self is drastic.

No reason for him to do that unless it is worse than expected

Well, its been more than 10 years since I've done litigation. . .but I can tell you there is absolutely no case here. No civil, no criminal, no nuthin'

Really don't think Turner or Hart knows what penalty is but he didn't want to take a chance of throwing cold water on his expensive celebration so he asked them to hold off.

This is factually incorrect. Turner jointly presented to the Letterman's Board and Mustang Club Board and stated that he requested the NCAA Infractions Committee submit their ruling prior to their 12 week time frame in order for him to be able to address it when the Board of Trustees met the week of September 7th. He also disclosed this in multiple BoT subcommittee meetings that week.
He wanted this over and done with and would never have requested this be delayed for a day. He definitely didn't want the uncertainty looming over him during the centennial.

The football team's defense threw cold water quite adequately on the celebration.
