Chad Morris busting all comparable SMU records for offers, offers from P5 schools and % of class with P5 offers-yet I'm sure there are at least 2 posters who are very concerned about the lack of 3 stars on Rivals. This is an outstanding class which I've been more assured of after each succeeding week of their high school season partly because as I've been pointing out the "bottom of the class" is much better than expected. And I'm talking about just about every one of them. Now these lower rated guys are getting rightly recognized. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jordan Ward get some offers also. Forget about Rivals and their stupid 2016 rating system. This is a helluva Class. And realize they only started recruiting the 2016 Class in December. They've got about an extra 8 months developing relationships with the 2017 Class which actually will be Chad first full recruiting cycle to show what he can do with the same preparation

Not saying this class that will be the best in conference by any means but it is a good foundation class coming off 1 and 2 win seasons.

Heck we now have about 7-8 recruit that have offers from Elite programs-ie perennial Top 25 programs Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Oklahoma St., Virginia Tech, Nebraska(2), etc. That maybe the next metric % to focus on

THAT is just staggering when considering SMU's history and recent win-loss record. Top 25 Recruiting Class could be in SMU future once we actually start winning on the field.
Morris is pretty damn awesome.

Final AAC rank is all that really matters.

No counting up the number of stars based on an expert's analysis in one region who haven't analyzed the players in other regions means nothing actually. What we do know is that no other SMU class in 25 years compares to this one in the metrics I cited-Division 1A offers, P5 offers and % of Class with P5 offers. I'm going to do it once and only once but I feel sure SMU class will rate extremely high in comparison to all other AAC classes except perhaps UH in the metrics I've identified

Right, you make it fit the Stallion metrics and narrative. It's obvious you're already hedging a lower ranking. Again, let's see where the class ranks from independent sources come February.
You keep doing your work and you'll retain your followers. Rank isn't the end-all-be-all, just like your analysis. Keep up the good work. Morris definitely doing a better job than June.

What independent sources are you talking about and what to they use to rank the players?
