75% of the SMU football commits have P5 offers
Somehow my other thread got derailed regarding this topic so I am starting a new one. Again this is a good foundation to build on.

What percentage of commits with P5 offers does everyone think we will end up with?

I think the remaining spots are going to most likely go to guys that the staff is holding out for, so around 75% assuming no de commits - which is difficult to predict

I'm not sure... 65% is a fantastic number to be at. I'd be very happy with that.Fresno Mustang wrote:I think the remaining spots are going to most likely go to guys that the staff is holding out for, so around 75% assuming no de commits - which is difficult to predict
The number of commitments from UT and OU is so low right now, there is going to be a trickle down that impacts us and Houston. It is why 1/3 of the Scout 3+ stars are still uncommitted. We might get a couple of good guys as we lose a couple of others. I think if we can keep it at 65% we should all be ecstatic.

I would agree JasonB on this one. If we could keep it at 64 or 65 percent (wherever we are now) that would be really good.

Re: 64% of the SMU football commits have P5 offers
we would be at 68% (17/25) if we finish with the top 2-3 targets at each of our 3 remaining spots-of course, some of our recruits w/o P5 offers could get one in December. I'd say just about all 14 targets we are still looking at all have P5 offers-maybe not RB Robert Mahone but he has several top 25 offers. But of course, its not unusual to see 3-4 decommitments either for a variety of reasons. There is a decent chance we fill all remaining spots with P5 offered recruits

Re: 64% of the SMU football commits have P5 offers
about the same but Boise has offered Badejo and most recent commit Ken McLaurin plus our RB target Robert Mahone is committed to Boise right now but we got a good shot. Boise has only offered about 26 Texans
UH leads this year in straight up matchups with SMU 8-6 but I think SMU was 6-0 last year
SMU hasn't lost any recruiting battles against Tulsa or Tulane-we don't recruit much against the rest although we beat Memphis for Josh Shelmire. SMU is 2-0 against Tulsa but that is deceptive because Morris and staff got a huge jump on Tulsa before their staff knew what was going on in Texas-they wished they had our list. SMU is 1-0 against Tulane but for last few years they've concentrated on South Louisiana for 2/3rds of their recruits

I am taking it you are counting Mclaurin in that 65.2% so I am updating the heading.Stallion wrote:65.2% 15/23
