If you attended the parade, I hope you enjoyed the f'ing homecoming float my brothers and I built.

You can't possibly say that this North Texas team even remotely compares to Texas Tech, Texas A&M or Baylor.

It matters not, we should not have been playing those teams to open the season. Why do you think they start with Northwestern State, South Dakota St. And Stephen f.?

Unfortunately, for 30 years, we were their Northwestern State ....

Exactly. How hard is it to realize we were the cupcake. Time to change that.

exactly - nobody much cares - they are happy to have the wins, and it brings more excitement later.

as an example - Notre Dame is not the team they were last year, but UT beats them at home in 2 OT and you would think the national championship is already theirs from the way people talk.

Probably a bad comparison - but the lesson is just win and good things happen. Scheduling tough opponents is overrated.

Our ADs have handcuffed our program with over scheduling. I am tired of playing two big 12 teams in non-conference every year. We need to keep TCU on the schedule due to the history of the rivalry but then try to schedule three games with a decent chance of winning. We need to go into conference play 3-1 or 4-0 each year or at least with a decent opportunity to do so. We win 3 conference games and we get bowl eligible. We have no business playing Baylor. Baylor, Texas Tech, OSU, etc. do not want SMU in their conference so don't play them. Tell them to pound sand and quit being their whipping boys. Brilliant move to schedule an away game at Michigan next year.

Nice we haven't argued over OOC scheduling before. Should be fun to see people's thoughts on this little-discussed topic.

The win launched us 22 spots up in cbs ranking.

Are the Pirate and Washington State really that bad? Thought they turned a corner with our recruits last year.

Wazzu lost to Eastern Washington last week. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving coach.

Yes, many folks thought last year's nine win season was the beginning of new heights for WSU. However, it appears it will take a bit longer to get there.

I do look forward to the day when we can regularly go 3-1 if not 4-0 against a challenging preseason schedule.
