For what it's worth: NFL scouts had a variety of opinions during the season about Mordecai. One told me he saw Mordecai going somewhere between Round 4 and 6. Another told me "undrafted free agent, but he could stick as a backup for 10-12 years, and you can have a great career doing that." Most suggested Rounds 6-7.

He will probably have the challenge of playing against tougher competition week after week in conference play and also get a lot of practice playing in cold weather...assuming he earns the starting job in Madison

And he broke school records and showed himself to be one of the top QBs in the AAC. We'll see how he does against Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois and Ohio State and in a road game at Washington State...again assuming he earns the starting nod. Otherwise, I hope he's getting a sweet NIL deal and Wisconsin has a grad program he's interested in. If he excels at Wisconsin he might be much better prepared to try and make some NFL roster
